India Initiates Anti-Dumping Investigation into Tetrafluoroethane Imported from China

On September 27, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that, in response to an application submitted by Indian domestic enterprise SRF Limited, it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into tetrafluoroethane (1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane or R-134a) imported from China. The products covered by this investigation include all types of tetrafluoroethane, regardless of packaging. Tetrafluoroethane of medical grade approved by cGMP is not within the scope of this investigation. This case involves products under Indian Customs Code 29034500 (previous code before 2021-22 was 29033919), as well as some products under Codes 29033990 and 29034300. The dumping investigation period for this case is from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, and the injury investigation period covers the years from 2020 to 2021, 2021 to 2022, 2022 to 2023, and April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024.
